A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
I am deeply privileged to serve as the 2022-2023 President of the Junior Auxiliary of Rankin County. As an educator, I am daily impacted by children who are suffering because their needs are not being met. My experiences working in various low-income school districts in the state of Mississippi are what drew me to become involved in Junior Auxiliary. Junior Auxiliary of Rankin County is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 charitable organization committed to improving the lives of children in Rankin County. JARC is a member of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, created to provide for children in need and allow women to serve their communities. Since 1986, we have sought to make a tangible improvement in our community by implementing the motto of our national association: “Caring hearts. Helping hands. Changing lives.”
Thanks to the support we receive from sponsors, donors, and our community, we participate in 12 service projects that allow us to meet needs such as food, clothing, school supplies, and more for the children of Rankin County. We partner with organizations such as the Mustard Seed, Hudspeth Regional Center, the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services, the Rankin County School District, and the Pearl Public School District. JARC also invests in the future of our community by awarding over $5,000 in scholarships each year.
Please take a moment to view our website and social media pages to learn more about JARC and the impact we are making in the community, or how you can sponsor our service projects. We offer a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and donors who allow us to serve the children in Rankin County.
