Junior Auxiliary is a national non-profit organization that encourages members to render charitable services which are beneficial to the general public, with particular emphasis on children!
The Rankin County Chapter was chartered by a group of caring, enthusiastic women in 1986 and continues to grow and thrive, serving one of the fastest growing counties in the state. Ladies who live and/or work in Rankin County dedicate time to help children and families throughout the community.
On a typical day, most of us worry about what to wear, our daily meetings, where we can pick up lunch and if we can make it to the cleaners before they close. However, right here in Rankin County we have mothers and fathers who are not sure where their next meal will come from. They worry about how they will afford school supplies and clothing for their children and where will they get gas for their cars, or will their cars even crank?
JARC members work tirelessly to provide solutions for our neighbors right here in Rankin County. JARC currently provides 15 projects that are designed to help families get back on their feet. Our projects include providing backpacks and school supplies, assisting residents at Methodist Specialty Care Center, painting rooms at Whitfield, and supplying moms and dads with much needed clothes for their children.
We want to help these Rankin County parents build strong families so they don’t have to endure hunger and hardship any longer. We hope you will read more about each of our projects and join us in the fight to help our community families. We have so many needs right at our own doorsteps and we hope you will be encouraged to join us in meeting those needs through your support of JARC. Every child deserves to know that they can achieve anything, and most importantly, that someone is there for them.
