Character Counts

Character Counts is a program that addresses issues of low self-esteem among young girls and boys.  Committee members meet monthly to interact with the residents at the Mississippi State Hospital and address topics such as developing healthy relationships, promoting confidence and well-being, benefits of a balanced diet and physical activity, and positive ways to express themselves.  Campus leaders are present during the 1-2 hour meetings each month.  The committee provide snacks and activities for the children.
