The Junior Auxiliary of Rankin County (JARC) is an organization whose members provide more than 5,000 volunteer service hours through 14 projects throughout the county with a focus on child welfare. JARC is also proud to award the following scholarships to Rankin County high school seniors to assist them in furthering their education and achieving their dreams.
Crown Scholarship
The Crown Scholarship was established to provide Rankin County high school seniors** who are in need of financial assistance with an opportunity to pursue a college degree. In addition to financial need, applicants are selected based on community service, academics and leadership. The number and amount of these scholarships vary each year depending on project funding and the number of applicants.
Tammy Lass Scholarship
The Tammy Lass Scholarship is awarded in memory of Tammy Lass, a JARC member who lost her battle with cancer. This $1,000 scholarship is given to one Rankin County high school senior** who has suffered the loss of a parent due to an illness or accident.
